Welcome to Wisconsin Chinchilla Rescue





We are located in Pewaukee, Wisconsin and are dedicated to saving as many little furries as possible!!!

We have been running our rescue since 2003. We have owned our own chins for quite a few years. We saw the need for someone to do something to help these poor little guys out. The humane societies in our area were not supplying the animals with adequate resources in our opinion. Don't get us wrong, our shelters are wonderful in helping place animals, but with the chins, they just didn't have a large enough area to give them the running room they need and with chinchillas being a nocturnal animal it is tough to have people understand what they are really like during the daytime. We decided that with us they would have a better quality of life.We will try to place our chins in good homes if we think that they would make good pets. Most have had bad experiences with humans in the past, and chinchillas do not forgot those things, so we work with them to hopefully restore their faith in people. We have many of our own and other pets as well as children so they are socialized well. We will take any chins needing a safe place to go and hopefully ease them into a permanent home. We will not part with the animals unless we are certain that they will make a great addition to someone elses family.


We will assist with most small animals, diurnal or nocturnal. Please contact us regarding surrendering information.
